Acustic partial areas made of acoustic foam

Acoustic partial areas from Lahnau Akustik GmbH are real all-rounders. The acoustic cloud SOLITÄR® CANOPY AS VE consists of a broadband absorber based on melamine resin. The visible and rear sides as well as all edges are coated with a uniform acoustic fleece. The standard dimensions are: 2400 x 1200 x 40 mm and 1200 x 1200 x 40 mm. Custom formats and free-forms possible on request.

If desired, there are a wide variety of surfaces possible from natural to coloured through to printed acoustic surfaces.

Advantages

  • Ideal for upgrading
  • Easy to install with thin wire hangers or bond directly to the existing ceiling or wall surfaces using system adhesive
  • Individually positionable

Material:
Open cell foam made from
melamine resin (Basotect®).

Surface:
MIKROPOR® AS VE
Acoustic fleece with matt, smooth and non-directional
surface, with coloured
surface coating on request
Also available in special colours
as per sample.

Edge configuration:
Edges on all sides coated with a uniform
acoustic fleece.

Panel thickness:
Standard approx. 40 mm
Custom thicknesses on request

Dimensions:
2400 x 1200 x 40 mm or
1200 x 1200 x 40 mm
Custom formats and free-forms on
request

Building material class core panel:
B1 flame resistant
with fleece finish

Weight per unit area:
Approx. 600 gr/m² (for 40 mm panel thickness)

Care / refurbishing:
It is possible to clean localized
soiling using a damp
synthetic sponge or
brush. Vacuum clean with vacuum cleaner
and brush attachment.
Refurbishable by spraying
with Wilhelmi acoustic paint (WAF-R),
without any loss of sound absorption properties.

Sound absorption:
The open pore surface of
MIKROPOR AS melamine resin foam (Basotect®) guarantees
sound waves are not reflected as reverberation, but
are able to penetrate into the cell structure without hindrance. The sound energy
is reduced inside the cell structure.
Consequently, MIKROPOR® AS melamine resin foam
(Basotect®)
has an excellent sound absorption
capacity.
In environments with deep frequencies it is possible,
for example, to achieve acoustic improvements
with additional heavy layers.

Hanging:

  • With thin wire hangers, wire lengths approx. 2000 mm, longer lengths available on request
  • Minimum suspension with
    screw hooks
  • Secured to the structure with dispersion adhesive

Overview of the advantages
of this system:

• Bond directly to the existing ceiling or

wall surfaces using system adhesive
Installs quickly and cleanly,
including in occupied properties

• Retrospective improvements
to the acoustics possible,
without dirt and noise from machinery

• Depending on the version, installation
possible without substructure or alterations to existing
building element

• Suitable for low
installation heights

• Design freedom thanks to
free-form design and colour schemes

• Economic solution thanks
to low installation costs

• Very high degree of absorption

• Wide variety of surfaces
possible from natural to coloured
through to printed acoustic surfaces.

We develop effective acoustic building materials in close cooperation with scientists, clients, architects and contractors. Utilizing these high-quality materials facilitates optimum speech intelligibility in our built-up environment.

At the same time, the design options available with regard to material, surface, colour and shape are so varied that it is possible to efficiently combine the demands placed on man and an eco-friendly architecture with one another on the basis of the latest scientific findings.
